Role Summary Context: SYSTRA Architecture is expanding its U.S. design team and seeking a Junior / Assistant Project Architect who combines architectural rigor with strong BIM management skills. You’ll work on transit, rail, and public‑sector projects—from NYC School Construction Authority (SCA) facilities to maintenance shops and passenger stations—collaborating within a multidisciplinary environment that integrates architecture, engineering, and digital delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and maintain architectural models in Revit, ensuring alignment with office and client BIM standards.
Coordinate multidisciplinary models (MEP, structural, civil) and manage clash detection using tools such as Navisworks.
Conduct existing conditions surveys and assessments.
Produce and review detailed design and construction documentation, including specifications and reports.
Participate in QA/QC reviews, code analysis, and technical submittals.
Support the Project Architect/Manager in developing project deliverables, schedules, and drawing packages.
Contribute to design discussions, help organize drawing sets, and track consultant coordination items.
Qualifications
Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).
Minimum of 5 years of relevant U.S. architectural experience.
Proven BIM management experience (Revit templates, worksets, model audits, coordination workflows).
Prior work on SCA or transit/rail projects required; experience on higher education projects highly desirable.
Architectural registration not required but active pursuit of licensure preferred (AXP/ARE progress expected).
Strong communication, organizational, and coordination skills.
Ability to manage time and priorities effectively across multiple active projects.

Salary and Benefits Salary Range: $75,000 - $92,500. SYSTRA USA is providing the compensation range that the company believes it might pay for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
