Malca-Amit is seeking an experienced Entry Writer with interest in further career development. The ideal candidate must have experience in all facets of Customs Brokerage and is a dynamic, self‑motivated individual with solid customer‑service skills and strong knowledge of Customs regulations, policies, and procedures.
responsibilities Data Entry and Documentation:
Enter shipment details into internal systems or customs software
Prepare and file customs entries and other required documentation
Ensure accuracy of import paperwork (commercial invoices, bills of lading, packing lists)
Accurate and timely filing of ISF for Marubenicle clients
Correspond with clients regarding ISF, documents, classification, Customs/PGA issues, exams/holds, etc.
Maintain and manage client product HTS databases
Monitor, track and trace client shipments
Ensure accurate and timely transmissions of CBP PGA entries
Communicate with CBP, OGA’s, SSL, forwarders to resolve issues
Participate in on‑going education/training
Act as a team leader for co‑workers with less industry experience
Ensure timely billing to clients
Customs Compliance:
Ensure that the correct Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) is used
Assist in ensuring shipments comply with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) PGA regulations
Maintain updated knowledge with basic import regulations
Support management with entry audit
Support management with reviewing of departmental reports
Communication and Coordination:
Communicate with clients, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies as needed
Track shipments and update clients on the status of their cargo
Clerical and Support Duties:
Scan, file, and maintain records of all processed entries in accordance with Customs and PGA regulations
Timely and accurate billing of completed entries
Support senior specialists or customs brokers with administrative tasks
Learning and Development:
Participate in training programs to understand customs procedures and regulations

Must be a U.S. citizen
Strong attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and time‑management skills
Organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
Good written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to learn U.S. Customs regulations and documentation procedures
Minimum 3–5 years CHB experience
