What to Expect Reporting to the Senior Manager, Brand Marketing – Americas, the Retail Marketing Manager will oversee the development, execution, and performance of all retailer‑level marketing activity across the region. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for retailer marketing support, ensuring alignment with McLaren’s brand standards and national marketing strategy.

This role is responsible for enforcing brand compliance across digital, social, advertising, and in‑store representation. The ideal candidate brings a balanced mix of creative strategy, media planning, campaign analysis, and operational support for dealer‑level execution.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Planning & Retailer Support: Translate McLaren’s regional marketing strategy into localised retail marketing programs that drive brand awareness, lead generation, and sales conversion.

Serve as a strategic advisor to McLaren retailers, reviewing local marketing plans, assessing performance, and recommending optimisations based on market needs and sales challenges.

Develop quarterly marketing calendars and best‑practice guides to support retailer activation aligned with product launches, seasonal campaigns, and brand priorities.

Audit retailer websites, paid media, CRM communications, and social channels to ensure compliance with McLaren brand standards.

Establish and maintain Retailer Marketing Guidelines, including event activation toolkits, digital best practices, marketing asset usage, and experiential standards.

Work cross‑functionally with internal brand, content, and compliance teams to align messaging and creative across all retail‑facing channels.

Oversee the development and deployment of digital co‑op marketing programmes, including templated digital advertising (Meta, Google Display, etc.) and paid social campaigns.

Partner with the Performance Marketing Manager to evaluate campaign KPIs, attribution models, and lead quality by channel.

Maintain internal retailer marketing asset hub to ensure all guidelines, retailer tools, campaigns, and assets are up to date.

Work with the Sales team to monitor, measure, and report on the effectiveness of retail marketing efforts using agreed KPIs and ROI models.

Deliver regular campaign performance updates and insights to internal stakeholders and retailers, highlighting success stories and opportunities for improvement.

Work closely with Sales, CRM, Aftersales, Network Development, and external agencies to ensure alignment across departments and campaigns.

Support retailer onboarding and training efforts related to marketing systems, campaign best practices, and programme implementation.

Develop a solid understanding of the regional marketing strategy defined by the central team and adapt it to local retailer marketing programmes that align with the annual national marketing plan for the Americas, meeting business objectives and local market needs.

What You’ll Bring

Experience in marketing in the Americas, with a strong knowledge of the marketplace.

At least 5+ years of experience working in retail marketing for a luxury automobile brand and/or luxury fashion brand (preferred).

Experience in campaign‑marketing, internal reporting, and agency/supplier management, ideally within the automotive or luxury industry.

Experience integrating and delivering brand / product awareness and lead generation campaigns on social platforms and in the digital media landscape.

Experience conceptualising, developing, and delivering marketing campaigns such as vehicle launches, test drive programmes, driving rallies, and strategic media buys.

Experience managing co‑op programmes and working with a franchisee or dealership network.

Ability to plan projects with limited budgets, maximising existing resources to achieve results.

Ability to influence senior management and engage with all levels of staff to resource national assets/campaigns and support strategic business goals, both internal and dealer network.

Proactive mindset generating creative solutions to strategic and tactical business challenges, supporting Sales goals and objectives.

Financial adeptness in budget management.

Accomplished project manager with strong planning skills.

Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills.

IT adept: strong knowledge of Excel (reporting and data manipulation), PowerPoint (presentations and toolkits), digital media platforms (Meta Business Manager, Google Ads), CRM and email platforms (Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, Outlook, or equivalent), and working knowledge of CMS and web audit tools is a plus.
