Paralegal - Digital Reporter

Veritext Legal Solutions is hiring a Deposition Officer – a tech‑savvy individual who will use high‑quality digital audio equipment to capture a verbatim record of a deposition or other legal proceeding.

This entry‑level role does not require prior shorthand or stenography experience. We provide training and support throughout the development program.

Responsibilities

• Manage the proceedings as an independent arbiter of the record.
• Swear in witnesses and act as a State Notary.
• Generate a clear and complete recording of the proceeding using high‑fidelity audio technology.
• Create accurate and detailed annotations of case events and terminology to serve as a guide for subsequent transcription.

Requirements

• Own your own digital audio equipment.
• Have a state notary commission.
• Complete our quality development program.
• Be willing to undergo an entrance assessment and review recommended digital reporting courses.
