Role Description The Interior Designer will play a key role in contributing to all phases of high‑end hospitality, resort‑residential, recreation, and multifamily projects, supporting design development, documentation, client coordination, and project management. The Interior Designer works closely with senior staff, Studio Directors and the broader team to ensure deliverables are on schedule, within budget, and aligned with the project's design vision.
Responsibilities & Core Competencies
Produce design studies and project documents that reflect the overall design vision.
Collaborate with the senior staff and Studio Directors to ensure timely submission of deliverables per project agreements.
Documentation Preparation
Design decks: visual presentations, mood boards, and renderings.
Contract documents: construction drawings, FF&E specs, plumbing and hardware selections, and custom specification drawings.
Archiving: maintain finish boards, FF&E binders, and project files.
Internal Presentations Present design progress and contract documents to senior design leadership.
Construction Administration Conduct site visits; review submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and control samples.
Design Coordination Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal design teams to align project vision, scope, and execution.
Project Organization Oversee project filing and folder organization.
Qualifications & Required Skills
Experience:
1-5 years of experience in hospitality design, with a proven ability in conceptual design and managing the implementation of design concepts, ensuring timely and budget‑compliant project completion. Experience in managing and coordinating FF&E specification deliverables and implementation through vendors and fabricators is required.
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture from an accredited institution.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, SPEXX or Spec Sources, Bluebeam, and MS Office.
Knowledge:
Understanding of hospitality design and operations fundamentals, with an ambition to learn more about the industry.
Design Skills:
Strong design, presentation, and organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects in different phases.
Communication:
Refined verbal and written communication skills, comfortable engaging with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal staff.
Collaboration:
Positive, self‑motivated, and flexible, with a strong interest in contributing to studio growth and continuing education.
