Position Overview As the on-site Community Manager, you will ensure exceptional resident experiences, manage leasing and administrative operations, supervise staff, oversee financial reporting, execute marketing strategies, and maintain smooth property operations for our student housing property.
What You Will Do Leadership and Staff Management
Lead and supervise all community staff, fostering collaboration, growth, and high performance.
Recruit, train, and, when necessary, terminate team members following company policies.
Manage staff schedules and oversee timely property payroll.
Property Operations
Maintain the property to the highest standards and in compliance with company guidelines.
Implement and monitor property reporting requirements to assess performance.
Negotiate contract obligations and terms with vendors.
Resident and University Relations
Foster positive relationships with residents, addressing their needs promptly.
Maintain partnerships with universities and other stakeholders.
Create and execute quarterly Reputation Management Plans and review them with the Regional Manager.
Compliance and Standards
Enforce strict compliance with all company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Uphold brand standards, ensuring the property is consistently presented exceptionally.
Special Projects and Reporting
Collaborate with the Regional Manager on special projects and assignments.
Complete HR/People Operations tasks with meticulous attention to detail.
Other Responsibilities
Work a full shift on-site; available for additional hours including evenings, weekends, and overtime.
Assist with move-outs, turnover, and move-ins beyond normal hours.
Lift and move objects up to 50 pounds; bending, stooping, and lifting as required.
Ideally You’ll Have
High school graduate; college degree preferred.
Minimum 4 years of experience in property management or related fields.
Exceptional leadership skills with proven ability to motivate teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Suite and Windows/Apple operating systems.
You’ll Crush It If You Have Experience With
Student Housing operations experience.
Experience with Entrata and Yardi Software.
Organizational Structure Reports to: Regional Manager
Direct Reports: All Community Staff
