Overview The Email Marketing Specialist (EMS) enables AM Best to connect with prospects and build relationships with customers through creative, strategic emails delivered via an email marketing platform. The EMS creates and tests email campaigns to ensure they are visually appealing, functional, and responsive across various devices.
Responsibilities
Build responsive email campaigns, focusing on visual appeal and functionality.
Retrieve audience lists from internal databases and perform required list hygiene protocols.
Work with project requesters, marketing content writers and graphic designers to align email campaigns with overall strategies.
Collaborate with writing and design professionals to optimize content and strategy for increased engagement, lead generation and conversion.
Conduct A/B testing and monitor key performance indicators to improve email open, click-through and conversion rates.
Troubleshoot rendering issues across different email clients and ensure emails meet accessibility standards.
Ensure all email campaigns adhere to regulations like CAN-SPAM and GDPR.
Prepare and distribute regular reports on email campaign performance.
Present email marketing activity report at all‑team meetings.
Participate in the evaluation of tech solution providers and manage relationship with selected vendors.
Support and serve as a back‑up to other marketing team members and participate in special projects and corporate events as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communication, or a related field preferred.
2-4 years experience in a project management role in a marketing or creative services environment.
Skills
Able to communicate clearly and concisely (in written and oral formats).
Experience with email marketing platforms like HubSpot, Marketo, Constant Contact or Mailchimp (familiarity with marketing automation tools a plus).
Proficiency in HTML coding and email best practices a plus.
Detail‑oriented with a strong focus on quality assurance and user experience.
Excellent problem‑solving abilities, with an aptitude for identifying and resolving technical challenges.
Able to work efficiently as part of a fast‑paced team.
Skilled in analyzing email campaign data and recommending improvements.
