Email Marketing Specialist

Job Overview WORK TYPE:

Memphis, TN TRAVEL REQUIREMENT:
Limited, with occasional out‑of‑area and overnight travel for events, meetings, or customer/vendor visits.
Responsibilities
Build, optimize and deploy acquisition and nurture email campaigns across all Varsity Spirit brands.
Support and execute the email testing process – including QA and A/B testing all sends.
Develop, manage, and create a re‑engagement series for optimum conversion of unengaged buyers and subscribers.
Write compelling, high‑converting copy.
Focus on email personalization to enhance the customer experience.
Work alongside the automations manager to enhance email automation and audience segmentation.
Collaborate with the creative design team to build and create emails.
Work with the Marketing Operations team to request and QA data filters.
Build, test and optimize lead generation forms.
Track, analyze and report on key performance metrics and campaign efficiency.
Occasional out‑of‑area and overnight travel as required.
Qualifications
Well‑organized and detail‑oriented with the ability to coordinate and execute multiple tasks in a lean, fast‑paced, results‑driven environment.
Team player with cross‑functional communication skills – interacting with multiple facets of the organization to drive results through collaboration.
Background in cheerleading, dance or band is a plus.
Creativity, passion, integrity and energy.
Education & Experience
BS/BA in marketing, communications or equivalent.
1–3 years of marketing, communications or related field experience preferred.
Email marketing experience a plus (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, MailChimp or other comparable Email Service Provider).
Varsity Spirit camp staff experience a plus.
Physical Requirements
This is a largely sedentary role requiring daily computer and technology use in a professional office environment.
