Job Description Studio Bloom is proud to partner with our high‑end residential client to fill the role of Intermediate Interior Designer. Studio is located in Manhattan, though the role offers a 3/2 hybrid schedule.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly creative, self‑motivated, and detail‑driven Interior Designer to join a collaborative, passionate firm. You will work closely with the Principal and the design team on all aspects of design and project management, from concept through completion.
We are seeking someone who brings exceptional communication skills, emotional intelligence, professionalism, and good energy to their work. At our core, we value collaboration, positivity, open dialogue, and a genuine spirit of teamwork, while always making space to have a little fun along the way!
Responsibilities
Support the design and implementation of high‑end residential projects from concept through completion.
Develop detailed technical drawings and models using AutoCAD and/or SketchUp.
Contribute to the development of design concepts, including furniture and finish selections, custom furniture development, and sourcing materials such as finishes, plumbing fixtures, and decorative hardware.
Prepare and present client‑facing materials, including drawings, mood boards, material flat lays, and visual presentations.
Manage project scopes, including prioritization, budget oversight, timelines, and scheduling.
Maintain clear and effective internal communication and provide regular project updates.
Collaborate and coordinate with vendors, architects, general contractors, builders, and tradespeople to ensure all design elements are executed seamlessly and according to plan.
Qualifications
Full‑time position with standard office hours 9:00 – 5:00 pm, but flexibility required for occasional overtime to meet project deadlines.
Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture preferred; will consider candidates with degrees in other fields that bring experience in high‑end residential.
5–10 years of residential interior design experience ideal.
A portfolio that showcases both technical skills and creative vision.
Proficiency with a PC, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop),
Studio , and Google Workspace.
Strong knowledge in material sourcing, specifications, and custom furnishings.
