Job Summary The Marketing Strategist is part of a dynamic, high‑performing internal marketing department that functions with energy, agility, and collaborative intensity. The department operates as a strategically integrated, insight‑driven, and outcomes‑focused team. The strategist collaborates closely with peers across Communications, Creative, and Digital & Web Strategy to deliver campaigns that support enterprise growth, clinical service line visibility, and patient engagement. This individual serves as both a strategic architect and an operational leader, working collaboratively across functions, proactively contributing to cross‑team initiatives, and upholding a standard of marketing excellence that supports Erlanger's mission and enterprise goals.

Education

Required: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

Preferred: Master’s degree.

Experience

Required: 5–7 years of experience in marketing, preferably in healthcare, service line strategy, or agency settings.

Proven ability to lead cross‑functional campaigns that produce quantifiable results.

Strong understanding of digital marketing, CRM, content strategy, and patient journey marketing.

Experience collaborating with clinical teams, operational leaders, and multiple internal departments.

Preferred: Familiarity working with or managing external vendors and marketing partners.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Service Line Support

Serve as the lead marketing strategist for assigned clinical service lines, physician groups, and/or entities.

Translate business goals and clinical priorities into clear, targeted marketing strategies and tactical plans.

Partner with service line leaders and administrative stakeholders to understand patient access objectives, competitive positioning, and growth targets.

Frame marketing work through the dual lenses of financial ROI and community impact.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Campaign Execution

Act as the internal client lead for assigned service lines, liaising with creative, digital, content, and communications teams to deliver coordinated campaigns.

Lead development of briefs and guide campaigns from concept through execution, ensuring messaging is consistent, timely, and audience‑relevant.

Collaborate with the Marketing Specialist to manage deliverables, timelines, and day‑to‑day coordination.

Collaborations with External Partners

Work alongside external agency partners, contractors, and consultants to ensure seamless collaboration, brand consistency, and timely delivery.

Serve as a connector between internal stakeholders and external vendors to drive efficient processes, clear communication, and shared accountability for outcomes.

Help manage expectations, priorities, and feedback loops to keep partner relationships strategic, efficient, and aligned with Erlanger's broader marketing goals.

Content & Digital Experience Stewardship

Ensure digital assets and content for assigned service lines are accurate, engaging, and aligned with brand standards.

Collaborate with digital and content teams on SEO, provider listings, Google Business Profiles, and service page enhancements.

Identify and elevate compelling narratives—including patient stories, physician profiles, research, and innovation—to build brand credibility.

Performance Measurement & Optimization

Define KPIs in partnership with the Marketing Director and system leadership to track campaign performance and business impact.

Monitor marketing analytics dashboards and translate data into actionable insights.

Recommend ongoing refinements based on performance, community feedback, and evolving strategic priorities.
