Overview The Account Executive works closely with the Director and leads media and influencer outreach across the company’s beauty division. The ideal candidate has a strong track record of securing top‑tier placements and fostering relationships with influencers, as well as helping ideate across big brainstorms and client strategy. The role requires interacting with staff, clientele, and external contacts in a fast‑paced environment, often under pressure, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient. A keen interest in the beauty, wellness and lifestyle industry is essential.
Responsibilities
Assist Senior Beauty Executives in executing strategic publicity campaigns for clients.
Lead media and influencer outreach, establishing and maintaining relationships with editors, influencers, hair and makeup experts.
Participate in professional development opportunities and industry networking events.
Share reports on media news, digital advances and trade & consumer publications.
Contribute innovative and creative ideas to company brainstorms.
Build and maintain media pitch grids, write press releases, media alerts and other materials.
Coordinate and execute client events.
Manage, mentor and develop junior staff such as Account Coordinators.
Lead strategic communication plans across clients.
Skills & Qualifications
3‑4 years of PR experience working with beauty brands.
At least 2 years of experience managing others.
Agency experience required.
4‑year college degree required.
Established relationships with long‑lead, short‑lead and online editors in beauty and lifestyle sectors.
Strong and current understanding of social media platforms, with the ability to increase brand awareness and generate press.
Knowledge of the beauty industry and popular culture.
Excellent verbal, written, presentation, organizational and follow‑up skills.
Ability to write interesting, creative, and effective press releases and media materials.
Team‑player who can work collaboratively and get along with others.
