Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role that supports scientists, engineers, and designers by producing accurate civil engineering drawings and plan sets using AutoCAD Civil 3D. You’ll work with a collaborative team that values precision, communication, and accountability.

Develop and refine civil engineering designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Create grading, drainage, utility, and site layout plans based on engineering input.
Build and manage surfaces, alignments, profiles, corridors, and pipe networks.
Review drawings from technicians and drafters for accuracy and design consistency.
Coordinate with engineers, survey teams, and project managers to meet technical and schedule requirements.
Perform basic design calculations and quantity takeoffs to support project design.
Maintain CAD standards, templates, and drawing organization for assigned projects.
Assist in developing design solutions that meet project goals and client expectations.
Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings and plan sets using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Convert design concepts, field data, and sketches into accurate technical drawings.
Develop plans and profile sheets, grading plans, utility layouts, and site details.
Maintain drawing standards, templates, and CAD layer organization.
Revise and update plans based on the engineer or designer feedback.
Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, and other team members to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Review completed drawings for technical accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
Draft proposals and reports for clients.
Takes pride in delivering quality work with attention to detail.
Communicates clearly and builds trust across teams.
Works well under direction while continuing to learn and grow.
Shares knowledge and strives to become a talented designer.
Our Team of Engineers and Scientists are looking for a new team member that possesses the following skills:
Three to five (3-5) years of drafting experience in AutoDesk / AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Ability to translate engineering concepts into clear, accurate plans.
Skilled in reviewing and checking design work from other CAD staff.
Strong organization, communication, coordination skills, and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage multiple design tasks while maintaining quality and accuracy.
Willingness to mentor junior CAD staff and share best practices.
Legally eligible to work in the U.S., able to pass background checks, and willing to complete a drug screen if required.
