The Senior Marketing Agency Manager plays a pivotal role in leading external agencies to develop and execute high‑impact marketing strategies and campaigns that drive measurable outcomes for the firm, its clients, prospects, and branch teams. This role demands a strategic thinker with deep expertise in paid media planning and performance optimization, strong business acumen, and the ability to translate complex business goals into actionable marketing initiatives.

What You'll Do

Strategic Leadership: Develop and lead differentiated go‑to‑market paid media strategies for firm‑wide and segment‑specific initiatives. Ensure alignment with business, market, and practice management objectives.

Agency Management: Manage multimillion‑dollar budgets and external agency relationships. Hold agencies accountable for delivering high‑quality, performance‑driven work on time and within budget.

Paid Media Execution: Oversee paid media campaigns across channels including linear TV, YouTube, CTV, digital audio, paid social, programmatic, paid search, and custom sponsorships. Ensure campaigns are audience‑targeted, data‑informed, and integrated with broader marketing efforts.

Audience & Data Insights: Leverage complex data sets and insights to define audience segments, personalize messaging, and optimize media mix. Apply competitive intelligence to refine positioning and strategy.

Performance Measurement: Partner with analytics teams to evaluate campaign effectiveness using A/B testing, multivariate testing, predictive analytics, and attribution models (CMM, MTA). Continuously refine strategies to improve ROI.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across brand, digital, product, compliance, and analytics teams. Ensure seamless integration of agency work with enterprise brand marketing (EBM) initiatives.

Innovation & Trend Monitoring: Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities. Identify opportunities to enhance campaign performance and client experience through new tools and platforms.

Compensation & Benefits Edward Jones' compensation and benefits package includes medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage. These are provided at no cost to associates. Additional benefits include a 401(k) retirement plan, health savings account, and flexible spending account. The firm observes ten paid holidays and provides 15 days of vacation for new associates beginning on January 1 of each year, as well as sick time, personal days, and a paid day for volunteerism. Associates may be eligible for bonuses and profit sharing. All associates are eligible for the Employee Assistance Program.

Hiring Minimum $99,200

Hiring Maximum $168,900

What You'll Need

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or related field.

8+ years of experience managing external agencies and leading paid media strategy, preferably in regulated industries (e.g., financial services, banking, insurance).

7+ years of hands‑on experience in paid media planning and execution across multiple channels.

Proven success managing large budgets and delivering measurable business outcomes.

Deep understanding of agency operations and ability to secure top‑tier agency talent.

Proficiency in media planning and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau, MRI/Simmons, Marketing Mix Models).

Expertise in audience segmentation, personalization, and omnichannel journey design.

Strong knowledge of attribution models and campaign performance measurement.

Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
