Summary Statement
The A/V Technician will be responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, engineering, and breakdown of the A/V equipment within the Resort.
Primary Job Duties
- Support tower guestrooms and suite technology systems which include room controls, digital audio systems, architectural lighting systems, IPTV systems, IP Phone systems, drapes, HVAC, and networks. Perform fault isolation and repair of the complete room technology package.
- Perform room calls to investigate guest complaints and provide resolution to reported problems.
- Install, maintain, program, operate, and strike A/V systems within the various resort venues, including installed and temporary systems as needed.
- Ensure equipment is installed according to designated layout.
- Diagnose and correct AV system problems.
- Send in equipment for repairs as needed.
- Ensure all Resorts World core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied.
- Obtain and maintain position‑specific licensing.
- Use personal device/cellular phone for job‑related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
- Perform other job‑related duties as requested.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of troubleshooting skills with room control, architectural lighting, digital audio, and IPTV systems.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Polished appearance and demeanor.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
Preferred
- Control 4, Q‑SYS, and Crestron certifications or have working experience supporting Control 4, Q‑SYS, and Crestron systems.
- Working knowledge with architectural and/or live sound, lighting, or video systems.
- Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
Minimum Education and Experience
- At least three years of experience in audio, video, computers, or lighting on installed systems and/or live events.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Must be 21 years of age.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Physical Demands
- Must be tolerant of varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
- Prolonged sitting/standing.
- Bending and reaching.
- Transporting, pushing, pulling, lifting, and maneuvering items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Eye/hand coordination.
- Ability to comply with policies and procedures, job description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (SDS), and other instructions.
