Job Description
The Production Artist II will be part of a Production Team supporting Running/Training, located onsite at headquarters (traditional hybrid model with Fridays remote) and only open to Portland-area candidates.
The role amplifies team output through flawless execution of production-ready files and precise schematic creation, primarily focused on high-volume graphic artwork for sports apparel.
This position demands both creativity and accuracy, as well as independent work and collaboration with design colleagues to drive graphic product creation in a fast-paced environment.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Execute production-ready apparel graphic files at high volume.
- Create detailed and accurate graphic schematics and design laydown pages.
- Manage multiple projects in fast-paced production timelines, maintaining accuracy through final approval.
- Collaborate with design teams to finalize graphic details for athlete and retail products.
- Document and track updates for all files to ensure consistency and approvals.
- Review production strike-offs and communicate findings with cross‑functional teams.
- Advocate for process efficiencies and adoption of new creative tools.
- Participate in production art meetings for team alignment.
- Support seasonal category apparel creation, primarily for running/training and basketball uniforms.
Must Have
- Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Suite.
- Self‑starter mentality; able to support personal workload and the wider design team independently.
- Graphic design experience and strong background in the field.
- Experience with 3D apparel design programs like CLO.
- Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and listening abilities.
- Strong multitasking skills, with proven prioritization capability.
Nice to Have
- Degree in Graphic Design or related field (encouraged but not required).
- Familiarity with Smartsheets, Airtable, and Miro.
- Knowledge of graphic applications in apparel production.
- Passion for learning and sports (bonus).
- Experience navigating ambiguity and collaborating with teams.
