This position is located at JBLM Grandstaff Memorial Library. Regular Full-Time positions are guaranteed 40 hours per work week and are eligible for all Army NAF benefits.

Duties
- Performs work with professional knowledge of the theories, principles, practices of the library to select, organize, preserve, access, manage and disseminate info associated with patron services including for children, tech services, and automation.
- Provides all members of the Military Community with reference/research using text and online searching principles, and reader's advisory dissemination of information, circulation, programming and library instruction, marketing, interlibrary loans.
- Performs technical services functions including acquisitions, procurement, cataloging, processing, and accountability of materials. Performs automation services including ILS maintenance, network operations, and workstation and Internet issues.
- Develops and implements long-range automation plans for the library within the parameters defined by the supervisory librarian.
- Serves as first line supervisor of staff and conducts all personnel actions related to supervision. Assists chief librarian in overall management of the library. Selective dissemination of interlibrary loans, and a current web presence.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Must be within the local commuting area (on or within a 50 mile radius of the JBLM installation).
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Incumbent may be subject to additional background checks if required to have regular and recurring contact with children.
