Overview
We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented Web Designer to design and improve our company’s online presence. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for visual design, a solid understanding of computer animation and turning ideas into responsive, functional web pages. This is not a full‑time position; it requires a 1099.
Responsibilities
- Design engaging, user‑friendly, and visually appealing websites and web pages.
- Collaborate with developer to maintain website design.
- Ensure designs are optimized for performance, accessibility, and SEO.
- Maintain brand consistency across all web pages and digital platforms.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to improve design decisions.
- Stay up-to-date with current web design trends, tools, and technologies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Web Designer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, or Photoshop.
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
- Knowledge of responsive design and cross‑browser compatibility.
- Excellent sense of layout, color theory, and typography.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Webflow, Squarespace).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Skills
- Experience with animation or motion graphics.
- Understanding of UX/UI design principles and accessibility standards.
- Ability to interpret analytics and user feedback to improve design.
