UI Engineer (Web Accessibility SME)

Core Responsibilities

• Perform accessibility evaluations of web applications and document findings with actionable recommendations.
• Directly remediate accessibility issues by writing and fixing code.
• Review and advise on design, code, and content for accessibility compliance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams throughout project lifecycles.

Required Skills

• Web Development: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React and/or Angular.
• Accessibility Standards: Deep knowledge of WCAG 2.x guidelines and WAI-ARIA.
• Assistive Technology Testing: Hands‑on experience with VoiceOver, JAWS, NVDA.
• Code Remediation: Strong ability to implement accessible solutions and fix accessibility defects.
• Communication: Excellent collaboration skills across technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience: 3+ years in web accessibility engineering.
