UI Engineer (Web Accessibility SME)

Core Responsibilities

Perform accessibility evaluations of web applications and document findings with actionable recommendations

Directly remediate accessibility issues by writing and fixing code

Review and advise on design, code, and content for accessibility compliance

Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout project lifecycles

Required Skills

Web Development: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React and/or Angular

Accessibility Standards: Deep knowledge of WCAG 2.x guidelines and WAI-ARIA

Assistive Technology Testing: Hands-on experience with VoiceOver, JAWS, NVDA

Code Remediation: Strong ability to implement accessible solutions and fix accessibility defects

Communication: Excellent collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders

Experience: 3+ years in web accessibility engineering
