Job Summary We are seeking a talented and experienced individual to serve as a Sr. Director in the Benefits Department. This role will lead and manage all aspects of the company’s benefits administration and communication, oversee health and welfare compliance (ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, etc.), and serve as a key liaison between the Benefits team and other internal functions such as payroll/HRIS, safety, internal communications, and legal.

Job Location This is a hybrid position located in the corporate office in Atlanta, GA.

Job Responsibilities

Oversee benefits administration (eligibility, enrollment, compliance, vendor integrations, etc.) for medical, dental, vision, spending accounts, healthcare savings account, life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment coverage, disability coverage, and employee assistance programs.

Ensure audits and reviews of the service center, enrollment systems, billing & payment systems, and file transfers are conducted for accuracy and issue identification; monitor and measure performance guarantees.

Ensure compliance with ACA reporting requirements—hours tracking, communication of affordable coverage, filing Forms 1094-C and 1095-C, etc.

Develop and implement a multi‑channel benefits communication strategy and platform to inform, educate, and engage employees about CRH Americas’ benefits offerings.

Develop communications campaigns for new hires, annual enrollment, acquisitions, retirement, and leave of absence.

Maintain and refresh benefit administration and communications as benefits change and new technologies evolve.

Collaborate with vendors and internal partners to provide targeted communications that drive employee engagement, efficiency, compliance, and cost savings.

Drive the development and delivery of tools, resources, and materials for successful benefit delivery at the local level; indirectly oversee 30+ employees managing benefits.

Oversee integration between benefits and CRH’s payroll and HRIS systems.

Serve as the HIPAA compliance officer.

Develop budgets, forecast costs, and monitor financial performance.

Lead and develop a team of benefits professionals, defining roles and promoting career growth.

Prepare and present reports, metrics, and analyses on campaign effectiveness to senior management.

Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or higher.

Experience working with an outsourced benefits administrator.

Experience delivering benefits communications.

Experience with multistate worksites and an employee population of over 10,000 (desirable).

Technical knowledge:

In‑depth knowledge of ACA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, HIPAA, IRS, and related laws.

Communication skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to simplify complex concepts. Fluent in English.

Leadership skills:

Proven ability to lead, build relationships, and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.

Project planning and execution skills:

Ability to break down complex issues into actionable steps, develop clear plans with measurable goals, and ensure stakeholder alignment.

Analytical skills:

Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Decision‑making and agility skills:

Ability to make timely, informed decisions and adapt plans as new information arises.

Creative thinking skills:

Flexible thinking, curiosity, and problem‑solving; receptive to new information and able to connect disparate concepts.
