The Photographer/Videographer works closely with the marketing team to capture visually interesting and engaging photography and videography that will be used on various marketing creative, including menus, table tents, social media, websites and other digital platforms. The Photographer/Videographer partners with the Brand Managers, the Menu Manager, and the Social Media team to strategically plan and execute photo and video shoots that support the unique identity and promotional needs of each brand.
Duties & Responsibilities The primary job duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
Produce, capture, and edit high-quality photography and videography for use across print and digital marketing channels, including menus, table tents, posters, advertisements, social media, and websites, ensuring all content aligns with brand standards and campaign goals. Pappas Restaurants will own all content and copyrights.
Collaborate with Brand Managers, the Menu Manager, and the Social Media team to plan and execute photo and video shoots that support individual brand strategies and initiatives.
Regularly visit restaurant locations to capture original photography and videography of food, atmosphere, team, and buildings for use across marketing channels.
Assist other departments with photography or videography needs as requested, ensuring consistency with brand standards.
Create and manage photo and video standards for each brand.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables align with brand and marketing objectives.
Maintain organized archives of all photo and video assets.
Organize, maintain, source, and manage props for photoshoots and content creation.
Prepare pre‑production meetings in partnership with graphic designers and brand managers.
Manage and maintain the digital asset management system, Canto, ensuring assets are organized, tagged, and easily accessible.
Minimal Qualifications Listed below are the minimum qualifications required to successfully perform this role. These qualifications are necessary for someone to be considered for this position.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Media Production, or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in professional photography and videography
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of creative projects, including food and lifestyle content
Comprehensive knowledge of photography, videography equipment, and editing software
Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite
Great team player who is open to constructive feedback
Strong organizational skills and excellent time‑management skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while efficiently using time to deliver quality work under tight deadlines
Ability to take initiative and work independently, while also being a collaborative team player
Exceptional ability to problem‑solve, innovate, think strategically, and creatively
Retail, restaurant, or food and beverage experience, as well as a passion for food photography and videography
Ability to troubleshoot, adapt, and capture content in fast‑paced restaurant environments
Willingness to assist other departments with visual content needs as required
Essential Physical Job Functions (with or without accommodation)
Physical requirements are the ability to perform a manual data input function for up to 50% of an 8‑hour day on a regular basis.
This position requires a focused, self‑starter with the ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced environment.
Must be able to work well under pressure with good organizational and project‑management skills.
