We are seeking a skilled
GIS Specialist
with strong hands‑on experience in Python, ArcGIS, digital imagery processing, and database technologies.
The ideal candidate will support geospatial data analysis, mapping, image processing, and troubleshooting of GIS workflows.
This role requires strong analytical capability, problem‑solving skills, and familiarity with geospatial data structures and digital raster imagery.
Must‑Have Technical Skills:
Python programming
for GIS automation, geoprocessing, and data manipulation.
Strong working knowledge of
ArcGIS Desktop/ArcGIS Pro , ArcGIS Online, and geospatial toolsets.
Experience in
digital imagery workflows , including raster processing, orthorectification, classification, and raster analysis.
Solid
database knowledge , including SQL queries and working with spatial databases (PostGIS, SQL Server Spatial, Oracle Spatial, or similar).
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve GIS issues across data, tools, and workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform geospatial data analysis, mapping, and digital imagery processing.
Use Python with ArcPy (or similar libraries) to automate geoprocessing workflows and improve operational efficiency.
Support the creation, maintenance, and quality assurance of GIS datasets (raster and vector).
Process and analyze digital imagery using ArcGIS and associated tools.
Work with spatial and non‑spatial databases to manage, query, and update GIS data.
Troubleshoot GIS issues related to data integrity, software performance, projections, and imagery alignment.
Develop and maintain documentation for GIS processes, data standards, and workflows.
Collaborate with GIS analysts, developers, and field teams to deliver accurate and timely geospatial products.
Support geospatial project needs including map production, data visualization, and reporting.
Desired Skills (Good to Have):
Experience with remote sensing tools (e.g., ERDAS Imagine, ENVI).
Familiarity with cloud‑based geospatial workflows.
Experience with ArcGIS ModelBuilder or FME for spatial data automation.
Knowledge of GPS data processing and spatial data validation techniques.
Understanding of geospatial metadata standards and best practices.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and in team environments.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
