About This Role The Dermot Company, LP, is seeking a full‑time

Associate Vice President (AVP), Leasing Operations & Marketing . Reporting to the Vice President, Leasing & Marketing, this role exposes you to all areas of residential real estate marketing and leasing. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in multifamily leasing, Excel proficiency, and strong communication and presentation skills.

How You’ll Make An Impact

Support VP, Leasing & Marketing in the creation of leasing & marketing strategies for the portfolio.

Lead the execution of leasing & marketing strategies in collaboration with the regional Leasing & Marketing Directors.

Review performance metrics of regional teams & their respective properties, and provide recommendations for improvement.

Report observations of leasing operations & results to VP, Leasing & Marketing, and collaborate with the corporate team (VPs of Operations, VP, Leasing & Marketing, Asset Management) on solving problems and identifying areas of improvement.

Lead the documentation efforts of leasing SOPs, including training for new members, and uphold them among existing employees.

Support regional Leasing & Marketing Directors in day‑to‑day activities, such as pricing strategies for vacancy & renewal leasing, team schedule management and advertising efforts.

Act as product go‑to person within the company for various leasing software tools, such as CRM, screening & lease processing tools.

Lead communication with ILS provider(s) and 3rd‑party marketing companies.

Participate in the interview process and new leasing team member onboarding.

Own the listing standards & provide feedback to Leasing Directors, supported by the Marketing & Engagement Manager. Review marketing activities regularly for Fair Housing and compliance.

Explore opportunities in the prop‑tech space and lead research efforts.

Monitor competitors’ marketing activities for trends and new opportunities.

Manage floating leasing associates, including schedules and training.

Support corporate operations & investment teams with various reporting as needed.

Visit properties regularly to meet with individuals, review tour path, leasing offices and apartments & amenities for readiness.

Support onboarding efforts related to leasing & marketing for new properties in the portfolio, including system set‑up, coordination with existing or new vendors, and preparation of “go‑live”.

Other duties as assigned.

About You And What You Offer

7+ years onsite residential leasing experience.

3+ years managing a team.

Experience with regional and/or centralized settings a plus.

Working knowledge of Yardi, RealPage, CRM products and Excel; ability to learn new technology and programs quickly.

Strong understanding of Rent Stabilization and Good Cause Eviction.

Experience with creating SOPs and establishing best practices for a team, region or portfolio.

Strong understanding of the NY luxury multifamily market, and having the ability to create marketing concepts for different submarkets, asset lifecycles or business objectives.

Real Estate License a plus.

Exceptional communication, interpersonal, presentation and organization skills.

A strong work ethic and commitment to meet deadlines.

Authorized to work for any employer in the United States without any restrictions.

Our compensation and benefits package includes a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits including medical, dental and vision, paid time off and retirement with match when eligible. The annualized gross base range for this position is $135,000 – $145,000 plus eligibility for discretionary bonus. Dermot strives for an environment where everyone feels welcome and safe. The Pay Range For This Role Is 135,000 – 145,000 USD per year (New York, NY)
