We’re growing quickly and are looking for a results‑driven, highly strategic, and deeply hands‑on VP of Marketing to build, scale, and lead our marketing function from the ground up. If you’ve successfully taken a company from sub‑$10M ARR to meaningful scale while standing out in a competitive market, thrive in dynamic environments, and know how to generate demand while building a brand—this is your role.
What You’ll Do
Lead Generation & Demand Generation
Own and architect Prelude’s demand generation machine—across paid channels, lifecycle marketing, content, outbound, and experiments. Drive predictable, repeatable lead flow that fuels revenue growth. Move prospects efficiently through the funnel in close partnership with Sales. Build and optimize performance‑focused campaigns with clear goals, data transparency, and measurable results. Build & Scale the Marketing Function
Start hands‑on—willing to write the copy, set up campaigns, and run point on GTM initiatives. Over time, recruit, develop, and lead a high‑performing marketing team. Create processes, systems, and operational rigor that support scaling past $10M ARR and beyond. Product Marketing & Brand
Develop compelling product positioning and messaging that resonates deeply with Prelude’s target audience. Craft narratives that clearly communicate the value, differentiation, and category leadership of the platform. Lead go‑to‑market strategy for new features and product launches; collaborate with Product, Sales, and Leadership to ensure strong adoption and awareness. Grow brand awareness and brand loyalty through thoughtful storytelling, PR, content, and market POV. Strategic Leadership & Cross‑Functional Partnership
Serve as a key thought partner to the CEO and executive team. Roll with the punches—pivot quickly when needed without losing momentum. Hold teams accountable while maintaining a culture of clarity, velocity, and ownership. Provide strategic insight around market trends, competitive landscape, and positioning. Who You Are

8–12+ years of marketing leadership experience, with at least 3+ years at the Director/VP level. Demonstrated success scaling marketing at early‑stage B2B SaaS companies ( Deep expertise in demand generation, lead generation, and revenue marketing. Strong product marketing experience with proven ability to craft positioning and messaging. Experience managing, mentoring, and growing teams. Excellent analytical, communication, and cross‑functional leadership skills. Seniority level
