Job Summary
We are looking for a marketing-focused data analyst to partner with marketing, product, and ad operations teams to drive data-informed growth. The ideal candidate will leverage data to understand campaign performance, user engagement, and advertiser success, helping identify opportunities that improve acquisition, retention, and ROI.
Contract Type: W2 | Duration: 12 months (possible extension) | Location: Menlo Park, CA | Pay Range: $55.00‑$65.00 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and analyze performance of marketing campaigns across paid social, search, email, and partnership channels to uncover growth opportunities.
Use SQL and analytical tools to extract, clean, and interpret data from multiple marketing and performance sources.
Define and monitor key metrics that reflect campaign effectiveness and advertiser growth, such as ROI, CAC, conversion, and retention.
Identify user behavior patterns, funnel drop-offs, and long-term trends that impact acquisition and engagement.
Conduct A/B and multivariate experiments to assess the impact of marketing or product changes on growth KPIs.
Translate analytical findings into clear, data-backed insights and actionable recommendations to improve targeting, creative performance, and campaign ROI.
Collaborate with marketing, product, and data partners to optimize strategies, remove friction points, and accelerate growth outcomes.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks to communicate key performance metrics to cross‑functional teams.
Bring a deep understanding of marketing growth and optimization best practices, helping influence roadmap priorities and decision‑making.
Must-Have Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
25 years of experience in marketing analytics, campaign optimization, or growth strategy.
Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, attribution models, and full‑funnel metrics.
Proficiency in SQL and comfort working with large datasets.
Experience with BI and visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
Familiarity with ad platforms and marketing tools such as Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, or CRM/automation systems.
Proven ability to conduct campaign and funnel analysis and communicate insights clearly to marketing and business stakeholders.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams through data.
Strong collaboration skills and a proactive, growth‑focused mindset.
Industry Experience
Experience working in a consumer technology, advertising, or digital marketing environment.
Background in ad product measurement, marketing experimentation, or campaign analytics.
Understanding of growth frameworks and user lifecycle metrics (activation, engagement, retention).
