About the Role As a
Production Artist , you’ll play a key role in shaping the visual identity of Port of Subs across every guest and franchisee touchpoint. From campaign assets and digital graphics to menu boards, print materials, and packaging, you’ll ensure every piece is on‑brand, accurate, and flawlessly executed. You’ll collaborate closely with our marketing, digital, field, and operations teams to produce high‑volume creative assets that support national campaigns, regional marketing, and in‑store needs systemwide. If you have exceptional attention to detail, a passion for production design, and a commitment to elevating brand consistency, this role is custom‑built for you.
Key Responsibilities Creative Production & Graphic Design Execute production‑ready creative assets for print, digital, packaging, in‑store signage, menus, and campaign materials. Ensure all files meet brand standards and vendor specifications for flawless output.
Brand Consistency & Quality Control Review and refine layouts to ensure accuracy in typography, color, hierarchy, image quality, and brand alignment. Serve as a key guardian of the Port of Subs brand guidelines across all visual materials.
Asset Adaptation & Versioning Translate master creative concepts into multiple formats and sizes, building out regional variations, store‑level adaptations, and cross‑platform assets while maintaining design integrity.
Print & Digital Production Expertise Prepare mechanicals for print vendors, manage bleeds and dielines, and ensure all digital assets are optimized for web, mobile, and social channels. Troubleshoot file issues and manage version control.
Menu Board & POP Production Support menu updates, pricing adjustments, and promotional rotations. Create production files for digital menu boards, static menu panels, POP kits, and seasonal graphics.
Partner with the Marketing Director, Creative Manager, Digital Engagement team, and Field Marketing Strategists to bring campaign concepts to life. Provide design support during grand openings, product launches, and brand initiatives.
Asset Library Management Help organize and maintain our digital asset library, templates, and production files. Ensure franchisees, internal teams, and partners have access to current, accurate, and approved materials.
Packaging & Merchandise Design Assist in the creation of packaging designs, labels, wraps, merch graphics, and specialty product assets while ensuring all artwork is retail‑ready.
Production Efficiency & Deadline Management Work efficiently in a deadline‑driven environment, producing clean files with consistent, high‑quality output — even with quick turnarounds and shifting priorities.
Additional Responsibilities Perform other design and production duties as needed to support campaigns, store openings, digital updates, and ongoing brand evolution.
Knowledge & Skills You’ll Need to Bring Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related discipline — or equivalent professional experience.
3–5 years of experience as a Production Artist or Graphic Designer (QSR, retail, franchise, or multi‑unit brand experience is a plus).
Technical Proficiency
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
Layout, typography, and production workflows
Experience with Canva, Google Workspace, and project management tools is a plus.
Detail‑Oriented & Process‑Driven A strong eye for detail, accuracy, and consistency. Skilled at following brand standards while catching errors before files reach vendors or franchisees.
Multi‑Channel Production Expertise Experience producing assets for:
Print + out‑of‑home
Digital advertising
Social media
Menu systems
Large‑format signage
Packaging and merch
File Management & Organization Ability to manage large volumes of assets, maintain consistent naming conventions, and keep templates and libraries organized.
Creative Problem‑Solving Able to troubleshoot artwork issues, find solutions within vendor constraints, and adapt designs while maintaining brand consistency.
Reports to the Creative Manager.
Full‑time, exempt role with benefits.
Primarily on‑site at the Corporate Headquarters in Reno, NV.
Must be able to manage tight deadlines in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
Physical Demands
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
Ability to remain stationary for up to 10 hours.
Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and perform movements such as pushing, pulling, twisting, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
Pre‑Employment Requirements Must pass a conditional post‑offer background check.
Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance required.
