Assistant Nurse Manager - Operating Room Overview Providence Alaska Medical Center is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) for the operating room unit. The ANM reports to the unit director/manager, utilizes the nursing process to manage clinical and operational activities within assigned shifts, and provides managerial presence for all shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Support the unit director/manager in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating unit services.

Provide managerial presence for all shifts.

Manage clinical and non‑clinical caregivers and provide performance evaluation input.

Ensure compliance with professional nursing standards, regulatory requirements, policies, processes, and clinical priorities.

Coach, mentor, and collaborate to deliver quality health care to patients.

Required Qualifications

Graduate from a School of Nursing (BS or BSN). Registered Nurses employed in this role prior to November 1, 2024 are encouraged to pursue the BSN degree but obtaining the degree will not be a condition of employment.

Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire.

National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital.

Charge Nurse / Relief Charge Nurse experience.

Leadership experience.

Shared Governance experience.

Benefits & Compensation The position offers a base pay range of $59.39 – $93.75 per hour with potential additional compensation such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities.
