Job Summary This position is for a Smart Plant S3 D Designer/Engineer who will prepare 3D designs associated with DOD and USAF projects. The successful candidate must have strong organizational and teamwork skills, proven problem‑solving abilities, a can‑do attitude, and a desire to innovate designs. The role will specifically support the USAF Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase and is responsible for direct production of design work and coordination of scope and integration of work.

Major Responsibilities

Build layout in Smart Plant S3D model environment.

Model piping, HVAC, and equipment in the 3D model environment.

Prepare drawings and documents for floor plans.

Assist with coordination of 3D model activities, including input and interference reconciliation with other disciplines.

Interface with stress, pipe support engineers, construction, and suppliers during design preparation for model/space control.

Perform coordination review of specifications and other documents prepared by others.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 5–8 years of relevant experience, or 9–12 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills

Hands‑on experience using Smart Plant S3D.

Must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and piping codes.

Experience with drawing generation in Smart Plant S3D.

Knowledge and application of International Building Code, ASME B31.3 for piping, plumbing codes, and ASHRAE standards.

Preferred: Previous Bechtel experience; DoD/DoE, USACE, NAVFAC, or USAF experience.
