Audio Visual Technology Student Worker

What you will learn:

Broad knowledge of audiovisual technology, basic network and PC troubleshooting. Responsibilities

Audio visual technology maintenance. Assist users in connecting and configuring laptops and other AV devices primarily in group study rooms and conference rooms. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the equipment found in group study rooms and conference rooms. Regularly inspect group study rooms for common issues to ensure long-term functionality. Assist the surplus coordinator with inventory management via regular checks of AV closets and equipment organization; provide support during surplus equipment disposal; may require light manual labor. Collaborate with event organizers to understand their audio‑visual requirements and provide guidance on equipment selection and setup. Assist with the operation of audio‑visual equipment during events, ensuring optimal sound and visual quality. Act as a point of contact for event presenters and speakers, offering technical assistance as needed. Client communication in‑person or over email. Collaborative work environment and mentorship opportunities. Some events may be scheduled after hours (post 5 pm) and schedules can be modified to accommodate after‑hours event support needs. Qualifications

Must be actively enrolled at NCSU. Must be able to lift at least 35 pounds. Work schedule: 9 AM‑5 PM, Monday‑Friday. Benefits & Perks
