Design Observer
Meridian International, a global tool and hardware design and manufacturing company, seeks an Industrial Designer with 3‑5 years of experience to join its R&D team at the firm’s U.S. headquarters in Centennial, Colorado. Working closely with the company’s sales group and its Shanghai‑based engineers, the successful candidate will contribute to the development of innovative design solutions that expand the company’s product lineup.
Key Responsibilities
Develop creative solutions for hand tools, storage, hardware and lawn & garden products based on established design principles.
Collaborate with internal design, engineering, manufacturing and sales teams to bring innovative products to retailers worldwide.
Translate new design ideas or product updates into sketches, renderings, storyboards, prototypes, CAD models and animations.
Understand and implement brand guidelines across multiple product categories.
Create and present key design details and improvements to internal team members and customers.
Develop, build and test prototypes.
Track current product trends and competitor developments in the hand tool, hardware, and lawn & garden product sectors.

Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a physical product development environment.
Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or equivalent.
Understanding of core manufacturing processes – injection molding, die casting, machining, 3‑D printing, etc.
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to generate/evaluate creative ideas.
Team player and collaborator.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Benefits
Salary Range: $70,000–90,000
