Job Description
As part of a design team, the CAD Designer will be responsible for the preparation of construction drawings for projects, including infrastructure planning and design, stormwater design and permitting, pavement evaluations and design, site and facilities design, commercial site development layouts, and utility system design. Duties also include preparation of project specifications and assembling permit submittals (City, County, and State).
Responsibilities
Develop CAD drawings for assigned department, creating plans independently or under direction from senior staff.
Maintain project drawing files and correct red‑line mark‑ups.
Organize and prepare complex layouts and drawings from specifications or sketches.
Follow and recommend CAD standards for client, firm, and industry.
Perform basic quantity and geometry calculations, including take‑offs and mathematical calculations.
Occasionally work nights and weekends with little notice.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum three years of experience in civil engineering drafting and design.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Proficiency with MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word.
Desired experience: airport, transportation, or land development.
Location and Contract Pensacola, FL • Contract position (fully onsite)
Pay and Benefits The pay range is $30.00 – $40.00 per hour.
