You’re obsessed with storytelling that sells. You understand the rhythm of retention, can sense when an edit drags by a half-second, and can take a flat testimonial or product demo and make it magnetic. You thrive in fast-paced, data-driven creative environments — constantly iterating, testing, and chasing the next breakthrough in hook performance or watch-time. This role is for someone who: Has a proven eye for what keeps people watching. Can take a raw VSL lead script and turn it into an emotional, conversion-driven narrative. Loves testing new creative angles, visual cues, pacing tricks, and other variations. Understands that editing is marketing — and thrives on measurable results. Key Responsibilities
Edit High-Converting VSLs:
Craft 2-3 minute long VSL edits that keep attention. You’ll shape structure, pacing, tone, and emotion — not just assemble clips. Master the Hook:
Develop, test, and refine attention-grabbing intros that hook within seconds and set up the emotional and logical flow of the sale. Collaborate Cross-Functionally:
Work closely with marketing strategists, copywriters, and producers to align storytelling with campaign goals and feedback loops. Enhance Engagement:
Use After Effects, sound design, and color grading to amplify emotional resonance and polish every frame. Requirements
5+ years of professional video editing experience, with at least 2 years editing VSLs or direct-response ads that have produced measurable revenue results. Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro (required) and After Effects (preferred) for motion graphics and effects. Portfolio demonstrating high-converting direct-response work (VSLs, UGC ads, or testimonials) with measurable impact. Deep understanding of direct-response psychology — hooks, pacing, narrative tension, and payoff structure. Comfortable working in high-volume production environments (10+ versions/week). Familiarity with AI tools (voiceovers, image generation, caption automation) a plus. Data-curious mindset — you’re the kind of editor who loves seeing metrics improve from your last cut. Preferred
Experience editing for health, wellness, or supplement brands. Background in social-first storytelling — knowing what makes content pop in a crowded feed. Proven ability to collaborate with performance marketers and adapt edits based on results. Employment Details
