The Training Coordinator will lead new‑hire development and engage with current employees to remain compliant on new or recurrent training. The position reports directly to the Training Manager and involves technical service work that varies while following strict safety and set procedures.
Responsibilities
Train and develop incoming employees for company initial indoctrination, recurrent and on‑the‑job technical and safety training, and update training record databases.
Aid in quality control benchmarks and audit subsequent company activities to ensure their effectiveness and accomplishment.
Audit and ensure all contract standard operating procedures are adhered to.
Assist in implementing and monitoring training programs within the organization.
Assist in developing and/or distributing training materials.
Develop multimedia visual aids and presentations.
Conduct testing and evaluation processes.
Obtain and maintain customer qualifications as required to sign off and evaluate employees under multiple carrier training programs.
Conduct performance evaluations.
Facilitate classroom training, demonstrations, on‑the‑job training, meetings, and conferences.
Conduct initial and recurrent airline specific training.
Provide training reports to Supervisors and Management.
Communicate training compliance to employees within the assigned area or department.
Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.
Qualifications
High School or GED required.
Excellent computer skills, including Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), multiple browsers (Safari, Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Opera), and multiple operating systems (Linux, UNIX‑based, macOS, Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10).
Must be comfortable with public speaking and presenting material to large groups.
Must be proficient in general office administrative duties.
Must be able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
Attention to detail and excellent customer service essential.
Reliable and dependable.
Comply with repair station requirements IAW FAR 145, Pegasus’ Operations Specifications, and contracted Air Carrier Programs.
Valid driver’s license.
Fluent in written, spoken, and understood English.
Maintain a professional demeanor in a stressful, highly regulated atmosphere.
Capable of working under stressful situations and tight time constraints.
Occasionally work nights, weekends, holidays, and in inclement weather as required.
Successfully complete a background investigation, including FBI fingerprints, criminal history, and pre‑employment drug test.
Work independently or as part of a team with little or no supervision.
Be at least 18 years of age.
U.S. citizenship or proof of right to work in the U.S.
Read and interpret documents such as FAR’s, foreign aviation regulations, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Write maintenance, quality assurance, and training reports, operations procedures for Repair Station Manual, Quality System Manual, Repair Station Training Manual, Pegasus Policies & Procedures Manual, and general correspondence.
Speak effectively one‑on‑one and before groups of customers or employees.
Communicate with customers within and outside the United States, many of whom use English as a second language.
Patient and tolerant of differing cultural values and lingual challenges.
Math skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning abilities: Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Deal with problems involving variables in non‑standardized situations.
Physical demands: Moderate; lift, carry, move, push, pull, and install 30‑50 lbs components unassisted; 20/20 corrected vision; good hearing; willing to wear all required PPE.
Regular use of hands, talk, hear, bend, stoop, kneel, and frequently stand, walk.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.
Noise level usually moderate but can vary dramatically; hearing protection provided where required.
