Stamping Die Designer

This is a Stamping Die Designer position responsible for high-speed stamping tool design. TE Connectivity's Stamping Die Designer are process leaders in high-speed stamping, utilizing advanced technology to develop new tools and ensure they are designed to run at optimum levels for quality and output. They work with Manufacturing Engineers, Tool and Die Makers, and Machinists to design, develop, and make improvements to stamping tools. Responsibilities: Design new high-speed progressive stamping dies using Creo Parametric Modeling Design miscellaneous fixtures and devices to support stamping processes Develop design standards and assist with creating component libraries Support troubleshooting of new and existing high-speed stamping dies Create BOM's and tool build packages Support quoting for new business Lead projects through design completion to meet deadlines What Your Background Should Look Like: HS diploma or GED required Associate's degree preferred Minimum 7 years of experience in high-speed progressive stamping die/tool design Parametric Solid Modeling experience required Creo preferred AutoCAD or ZWCAD experience preferred Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Basic Mathematical skills Microsoft Office experience preferred Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, etc. Creative and open-minded to new ideas Self-motivated Organized Competencies: Values: Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion, Innovation, Teamwork Job Locations: WINSTON SALEM, North Carolina 27101-2167 United States Travel Required: Less than 10%
