Job Description
Only qualified Content Strategy Managers located near the Mountain View, CA area will be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in a content marketing or editorial role for a B2B and digital company, with specific experience in financial services or technology
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross‑functionally
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide data‑driven insights
- Knowledge of current trends in content marketing and SEO and AI search best practices
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with multiple deadlines and priorities, and experience managing agencies
- Experience using content management systems, analytics platforms, and reporting tools, such as Ahrefs, Google Search Console, SEO Clarity or similar
- Experience using analytics tools for reporting, such as Adobe Analytics, Tableau, Google Search Console or equivalent tools
- Experience in WordPress and other CMS is a plus
- Professional writing and ability to craft content for small and mid‑market audiences
- Hands‑on experience managing various content projects related to product go‑to‑market, audience, and search (SEO, GEO/LLM) improvements, and stakeholder management
- Experience working in B2B environments
- Strong partnership skills to work with different teams and creative, analytical, and strategic mindsets when it comes to content off‑platform like social, influencers, and video
- Able to create a hypothesis, uncover web and content insights, and provide recommendations to optimize
- Comfortable working with multiple platforms and stakeholders, with a comfortable knowledge level of technical SEO
- Experience managing a content calendar, schedule, briefing agency topics, reviewing and editing for SEO and content accuracy, as well as reviewing, editing, briefing, and revising content drafts
- Foundational knowledge of on‑page and off‑page SEO
- Exceptional professional writing and interpersonal communications skills
- Strong ability to take strategic direction, research necessary tactics, and create a working process of execution
- Ability to self‑start, organize, and manage multiple concurrent initiatives
- Practical problem‑solving skills with experience in communication, email writing, software, and time management

Duties
- The Content Strategy Manager/Strategist will lead by developing and implementing a content marketing strategy that supports Client branding, product positioning, and lead generation objectives, specifically for the Services Org (Money and Workforce solutions)
- This includes creating a content strategy for Payments, Capital, Workforce, and Bill Pay attach services and products, which are offerings available through the client
- You will be responsible for managing a content agency and creators to produce high‑quality, engaging, and informative blog content and other materials that help small and mid‑market customers succeed in running their business
- Other duties include optimizing content for search engines and LLM’s to increase traffic, collaborating with stakeholders to align content with campaigns, product updates and seasonal moments, upkeep content hygiene and analyzing content performance metrics to optimize and improve content marketing programs
- You will develop the content strategy and manage related workstreams, including reporting results to relevant audiences
Key Performance Indicators
- Improve organic search visibility and rankings
- Increase website traffic from organic, AI search and paid channels
- Generate leads from content sources
- Increase interactions per visitor and blog engagement
Core Responsibilities
- Content Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute a content marketing strategy and program that aligns with the client’s business objectives and priority audiences (small and mid‑market customers) for the Money Services Org, focusing on Payments, Capital, Workforce, and Bill Pay attach services
- Identify content gaps and opportunities, conduct competitor analysis, and create an editorial calendar that supports the content plan
- Content Creation and Program Management: Lead the creation and management of compelling, valuable, and shareable content that drives traffic, engagement, and conversions
- This includes creating content briefs, assigning tasks, reviewing and editing content, and ensuring consistency, accuracy, and quality across all channels
- Metrics and Analysis: Track and report on content performance metrics and use data insights to inform content strategy, optimize content creation, and improve ROI
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate content metrics with broader business goals and performance indicators
- Amplification: Partner with media agencies to amplify content across third‑party channels, as well as owned channels like social media
- Help to move work forward and increase reach, and review performance data to make fast decisions
- Ensure quality work is delivered on time for all campaigns
