Job Description

Job Title: Technical Writer

Type of Engagement: 12-month contract (Not open to 3rd party C2C consultants. Visa sponsorship is not available)

Work Location: Hybrid position Charlotte, NC (2 days in office, expected schedule Mon – Thu, 32 hrs/week)

Job Overview

Support the writing and update of material, documentation, and procedures for System Operations initiative.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Acquires assignments from supervisor.
  • Reviews current procedures with respect to updates in roles, responsibilities and general formatting of documentation.
  • Meets with SMEs to update and route procedures for review and approval.
  • Reviews materials and recommends revisions or changes in scope, format, content.
  • Maintains awareness and communicates progress of procedural updates and approvals.
  • Generates tracking and report of progress.
  • Organizes work processes that are in review, out for approval and published.
  • May maintain records and files of work and revisions. Experience with Word, SharePoint and basic task tracking.

Required Skills & Experience

  • BS preferred but Associates with related experience acceptable.
  • 3 – 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with MS Word, SharePoint, good communication skills (work with SMEs), provide feedback.
  • Tech writing, procedure processes, SharePoint.

Big Bonus Points If You Have

  • Utilities industry experience.
  • PowerBI.

Pay Range

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $31.53 - $36.53 per hour.

The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
