Communications Officer

based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The role of a Communications Officer:

Communicate Zions Bank’s position as Utah’s top small business lender, No. 1 bank in deposit market share and supporter of the community.

Reinforce the bank’s community brand by supporting branch programs and targeting media for maximum local exposure.

Build strong relationships with reporters/editors/news directors and branch managers in local communities.

Manage bankwide major PR events.

Amplify sponsorships, charitable giving and the bank’s financial education efforts.

Support copywriting requests for flyers, brochures, emails and advertising.

Write copy for social media, external blog and internal communications.

Work closely with other communications staff, as well as with other departments, to ensure strategic coordination and implementation of all communications.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English or a related field and experience in writing, editing and producing print and/or electronic communications or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.

Ability to collaborate with business line leaders to support bank goals through public relations.

Creative contributor, strategic thinker and problem solver with excellent attention to detail.

Strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.

Ability to express ideas clearly, concisely and accurately in written and verbal form.
