Description The Data Scientist will play a key role in enabling insights for marketing campaign performance. This individual will provide measurement and campaign optimization insights for Apple’s payment products to inform and shape marketing strategy and user experience. The successful candidate be a thought partner to the marketing team, will work closely with the collaborators to understand their goals and critical metrics, and then analyze data to provide actionable recommendations. We believe analytics is a team sport, but we strive for independent decision-making and taking smart risks.

Responsibilities

Conduct descriptive, predictive, and causal inference analyses on large-scale datasets to uncover actionable insights and identify opportunities for optimization.

Measure marketing performance across channels using advanced statistical, econometric, and AI/ML approaches.

Build data/model pipelines to automate recurring data pull and modeling processes.

Leverage Tableau and Keynote to visualize insights and deliver results in business presentations and dashboards.

Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Minimum Qualifications

Strong technical skills in SQL and Python

Strong understanding of AI/ML techniques, including regression, classification, clustering, segmentation, and predictive modeling, deep learning models, and LLMs.

Experienced with GenAI capabilities to scale analyses and shorten lead times

Proficient experience with Tableau to visualize and deliver actionable insights.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in SQL and Python

Expertise in causal inference modeling and advanced statistical/ econometrics models, including regression and time series modeling.

Experience with GenAI/Agentic AI capabilities and models, including but not limited to: GenAI (Claude, Gemini, GPT), LLM ‘text-to-feature’, Agentic AI

Experience integrating AI/ML outputs into marketing or business processes to drive automation and performance.

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Relevant background in Analytics and Data Science in Marketing, Financial Products and Services,Payments, or Customer Analytics.

Master’s or Ph.D. in:Data Science, Statistics, Economics/Econometrics, Computer Science, Marketing Science, Operations Research, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
