Job Description The Instructional Systems Designer will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting the execution of a classified comprehensive multi-tiered curriculum that supports contractors from entry-level professionals with one year of experience to senior experts with over 20 years in the field within the Mission Solutions Business Area of the National Security Sector. The ideal candidate will have experience with all aspects of adult training to include, but not limited to, developing dynamic, mission-focused curriculum. The ISD will manage the full lifecycle of the ADDIE model for this dynamic training program to include, but not limited to creating rubrics that drive data-focused measurements of performance, designing lesson plans, working with instructors and stakeholders in a classified environment to develop course content, managing course enrollment, evaluating instructors and course delivery. There will also be some administrative duties to coordinate with administrative support to include registration, classroom management and scheduling, and post-training evaluation collection and analysis. Class content will be hybrid (asynchronous, synchronous, online, and in-person).

Key Responsibilities

Execute all facets of the training development life-cycle for various training types, including instructor-led courses, web-based and online training, blended learning, and performance support.

Conduct needs assessments and training needs analyses, including gap, contextual and root-cause analyses.

Design online training classes in Captivate.

Develop storyboards and content outlines with stakeholders.

Select and design innovative instructional and learning strategies and associated technologies to optimize learning and achieve learning objectives.

Develop, execute, and test training courses and performance support products.

Perform quality assurance and quality control activities, including SME reviews, design reviews, course pilots, and hot washes.

Create and conduct training evaluations, both formative and summative, across all levels for maximum impact.

Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with training project plans and schedules.

Collaboration and Leadership

Manage projects independently with competing priorities.

Support and manage the day-to-day support of learning programs.

Create and distribute post-training surveys and evaluations.

Collect, compile, and analyze student training data and prepare reports for the customer.

Demonstrate experience in using the ADDIE model and Kirkpatrick's Four Levels of Evaluation for course design and evaluation.

Identify and support opportunities to expand project scope beyond current deliverables and share information about emerging support needs and trends with team members and management.

Requirements

TS/SCI with poly.

Bachelor's degree or 12+ years of equivalent work experience or a Master's with 10+ years of experience.

3+ years working with national security mission space.

Experience successfully designing courses with Captivate in a classified environment.

Excellent facilitation skills that engage participants and students.

Manage complex relationships with stakeholders in an environment with short deadlines and high business impact.

Demonstrated experience using office productivity software.

Aptitude for accurate and detail-oriented work.

Strong customer service skills.

Solid organizational skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and exercise good judgment.

Effective interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) for providing customer service in a diverse academic environment, and for interacting with senior client management, client and adjunct faculty, and students.

Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to negotiate fairly and rationally, and exercise sound judgment under time pressure or in emotionally charged situations.

Desired

Instructional Design Certification from an accredited institution.

Prior customer experience.

Experience with Tableau data visualization software.

Experience with DigiLearn or other LMS.

Pay Range Pay Range: $101,400.00 - $183,300.00. The pay range is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation.
