We are seeking a dynamic and experienced analytics leader to join our growing

Digital News & Media Analytics

Practice. In this role, you will define and execute the analytical vision for our digital publishing ecosystem driving data-informed decisions across content, product, audience, and monetization strategies. You will lead a high-performing team of product analysts and digital implementation engineers, shaping the future of how we measure, understand, and grow audience engagement.

You’ll work closely with leaders across Newsroom, Digital Marketing, Commerce & Advertising, D2C Products, and Audience Development, bringing analytical rigor, structured problem solving, and strategic foresight to every engagement. his role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of media, data science, ML deployment, and digital product innovation someone who's as comfortable designing measurement frameworks and BI dashboards as they are operationalizing machine learning models.

Key Responsibilities

Set the Analytics & ML Vision:

Define and lead the analytics and ML Ops strategy for digital product optimization, audience growth, and marketing effectiveness aligned with organizational goals such as subscriber retention, engagement, and acquisition.

Lead and Mentor:

Manage and develop a lean team of analysts and implementation engineers, fostering analytical excellence, domain knowledge, and career growth.

Translate Business into Analytics:

Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand objectives and translate them into actionable analytical and measurement plans.

Drive Insight to Action:

Leverage storytelling, behavioral data, and experimentation to inform product decisions, marketing execution, and editorial strategy.

Oversee Analytics Implementation:

Direct the setup and governance of analytics tagging, tracking systems, and data pipelines ensuring accurate and scalable measurement.

Performance Management:

Define, track, and communicate KPIs for digital experiences and campaigns, delivering actionable insights to both operational and executive audiences.

Innovation & Advanced Analytics:

Develop new analytical frameworks, predictive models, and personalization strategies to improve user journeys and monetization outcomes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Act as the analytical thought partner to Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Design teams, embedding a data-driven mindset throughout the organization.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field; Masters preferred.

8+ years of experience in digital publishing, news media, or online content environments ideally with direct exposure to acquisition, subscription, or D2C business models.

5+ years of experience in applied analytics or data science roles, with a focus on product, growth, or marketing analytics.

3+ years of leadership experience (formal or informal), coaching teams and driving cross-functional initiatives.

Hands‑on expertise in ML Ops, including deploying and maintaining machine learning models in production environments.

Deep expertise in digital measurement, experimentation, and user behavior analytics, including A/B and multivariate testing.

Proficiency in Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, WordPress, Parse.ly, or equivalent analytics platforms; experience defining tagging and measurement strategies.

Strong grasp of SQL and experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Adobe Analytics Workspace.

Hands‑on experience with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake) and Customer Data Platforms.

Understanding of AdTech ecosystems (DMPs, DSPs, SSPs, ad servers) and digital media channels (Display, SEM, SEO, Social).

Strong foundation in applied statistics, experimental design, and causal inference.

Exceptional communication and data storytelling skills, with the ability to distill complex analyses into clear strategic insights.

High attention to detail, structured thinking, and an aptitude for solving ambiguous, cross‑domain business problems.
