Actalent . This is a contract position based out of Niceville, FL.

Overview The CAD Designer is part of a design team responsible for preparing construction drawings for a variety of projects, including infrastructure planning and design, stormwater design and permitting, pavement evaluations and design, site and facilities design, commercial site development layouts, utility system design, and related services. Duties also include preparing project specifications and assembling permit submittals for City, County, and State agencies.

Responsibilities

Develop CAD drawings for assigned departments, creating plans independently or under direction from senior staff.

Maintain project drawing files and ensure compliance with project CAD standards established by the client, firm, and industry.

Create maps, graphs, charts, overlays, base drawings, details, and sketches; complete red‑line mark‑ups and address design comments related to site layout and details.

Use basic quantity and geometry calculations in drawing creation; perform mathematical calculations and quantity takeoffs.

Recommend CAD standards and symbols to meet specialized project needs and improve CAD productivity.

Work nights and weekends as required, with little or no advanced notice.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Minimum three years of experience in civil engineering drafting and design.

Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word.

Desired experience in airport, transportation, or land development.

Strong knowledge of drafting procedures in the specialty field.

Job Type & Location Contract – Niceville, FL.

Pay and Benefits Hourly pay range: $30.00 – $40.00/hr.
