Responsibilities
Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product owners and engineers.
Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps.
Extend existing as well as create visual design languages, document in style guides and utilize across Radiance products.
Build and refine visual design languages, create supporting style guides, and utilize across Radiance products.
Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets.
Build page navigation buttons and search fields.
Design UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look.
Create original graphic designs (e.g., images and logos).
Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.
Debug and resolve UX problems in front-end code (e.g., responsiveness).
Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback.
Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Web Design, Graphic Design, Human Factors or related field.
US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
Understanding of both graphic design and UI/UX programming for the Web.
Experience with design software and wireframe tools.
Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role.
Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Good time-management skills.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
Desired Experience
Experience with PenPot. Should this be the only software we list? Perhaps something like “UX/UI Design Software (e.g., Figma, PenPot, Axure, etc)”.
Experience applying Human Factors to Human-Machine Interfaces and User Experiences.
Experience with the Agile Development methodology a plus.
