Responsibilities

• Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product owners and engineers.
• Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps.
• Extend existing as well as create visual design languages, document in style guides and utilize across Radiance products.
• Build and refine visual design languages, create supporting style guides, and utilize across Radiance products.
• Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets.
• Build page navigation buttons and search fields.
• Design UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look.
• Create original graphic designs (e.g., images and logos).
• Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.
• Debug and resolve UX problems in front-end code (e.g., responsiveness).
• Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback.
• Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Web Design, Graphic Design, Human Factors or related field.
• US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
• Understanding of both graphic design and UI/UX programming for the Web.
• Experience with design software and wireframe tools.
• Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role.
• Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Good time-management skills.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.

Desired Experience

• Experience with PenPot. Should this be the only software we list? Perhaps something like “UX/UI Design Software (e.g., Figma, PenPot, Axure, etc)”.
• Experience applying Human Factors to Human-Machine Interfaces and User Experiences.
• Experience with the Agile Development methodology a plus.
