Job Description At Regions, the User Experience (UX) Content Designer works alongside UX design teammates and product management partners to deliver best-in-class user experiences. While writing and editing are core to the job, content designers understand that it’s more than just copywriting. Clear and concise content design is foundational to great user experiences.
Primary Responsibilities that is featured throughout website or app experiences, including writing user interface copy, website copy, emails, in-app and SMS notifications, navigation and menu labels, error messages, etc.
Actively participates in the design process from beginning to end, including creating journey maps and user flows, providing design feedback, and contributing to the overall direction of the product’s user experience
Designs the information architecture and hierarchy of content, collaborating with UX partners
Practices UX design principles and methodologies to inform research and create wireframes and prototypes
Creates content models, documenting and mapping out different types of content that will be featured in the product, considering how they all relate to each other
Leverages data, user research, and testing to inform content decisions and recommendations
Advocates for the end user by empathizing with and understanding user needs
Presents work, and articulates an approach to a breadth of stakeholders, including UX, product, marketing, legal, and technology
Recognizes opportunities to influence and change status quo to advocate for better user experiences
Collaborates with other UX content designers to develop, evolve, and maintain design systems and content style guides, ensuring consistency throughout the product
Works closely with UX leadership to inform and improve processes
Facilitates content critiques and cross‑functional workshops to improve content execution
May train and mentor less experienced associates
Requirements Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or related field and five (5) years of professional experience with User Experience (UX) writing, content strategy, or content design for websites or applications
Or High School Diploma or GED and nine (9) years of professional experience with User Experience (UX) writing, content strategy, or content design for websites or applications
Preferences Advanced experience in user‑focused writing across web and mobile environments
Experience with Agile development process and associated project management tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, etc.)
Experience with collaborative user interface (UI) design tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch, etc.)
Experience working in a distributed team
Experience working in financial services or other highly regulated industryli>
Experience working with and adhering to content style guides (e.g. AP style)
Experience working with enterprise design systems or component libraries
Experience working with stakeholders for reviews and approvals
Skills and Competencies Ability to distill complex information or processes into simple steps or plain language
Exceptional ability to effectively influence and negotiate with others
Exceptional verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
Keen attention to detail, to ensure quality and accuracy at each deliverable stage
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Self‑starter with the ability manage multiple projects amid evolving priorities
Strong time management skills

Location Charlotte Uptown. Location: Charlotte, North Carolina. This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in‑office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. The locations available for this role are Birmingham, AL, Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC.
