Role Overview
We are seeking a UX/UI Systems Designer to elevate and systemize our digital brand experience across every user touchpoint. This role brings rigor, elegance, and structure to our design workflow.
You will work closely with our Design Director and a dotted line to our VP Creative, to translate ideas, concepts, and multi-stakeholder input into responsive, beautifully structured, engineering-ready designs. Your work will help shape the digital expression of Kathy Kuo Home, Kathy Kuo Studio, and Kathy Kuo Trade.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
1. Design Systems & Figma Excellence
- Build, maintain, and evolve our Figma design system with an emphasis on clarity, scalability, and best-in-class component craftsmanship.
- Establish consistent patterns, variants, and auto-layout logic
- Maintain elegant, organized file structures that allow for efficiency, reuse, and cross-team collaboration.
- Support long-term improvements in workflow, automation, and AI-driven design capabilities.
- Responsive UX/UI Design & Execution
- Create responsive layouts for homepage modules, visual navigations, product detail pages, lookbooks, and new digital experiences, with a mobile-first mindset.
- Translate broad concepts and multi-stakeholder feedback into polished, user-centered designs.
- Bring visual consistency and brand refinement to all digital interfaces.
- Work closely with engineers using precise annotations, acceptance criteria, and UI logic.
- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) by documenting issues and UI discrepancies, and providing clear, actionable feedback to achieve the expected behavior.
- Manage feedback from multiple stakeholders and translate it into actionable revisions.
- Collaborate with Creative, Product, Marketing and Engineering to improve workflows and operational efficiency.
- Communicate design rationale clearly and thoughtfully, always fostering trust and mutual respect.
- Support Design Director by owning the production and systemization of design work, allowing leadership to focus on higher-level strategy, innovation, and AI integration.
- Bring order, clarity, and structure to workflows across Marketing, Creative, Product, and Engineering.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, implement new tools, and scale design operations.
Required Experience
- 3+ years of UX/UI or product design experience
- Expert-level proficiency in Figma
- Strong grounding in mobile-first and responsive design
- Experience collaborating with Product and Engineering teams
- Highly organized, structured, and consistent in workflow
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with grace and clarity
- Ecommerce UX/UI experience
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS frameworks (no coding, just understanding)
- Experience with design systems in a growing organization
- Interest in AI-driven design, automation, or operations
