Communications Assistant
This entry‑level, on‑site position involves learning sales communication practices and engaging with diverse audiences. The role supports the communications team in developing and disseminating materials that convey key messages about our organization’s initiatives, goals, and achievements. Working closely with various departments, you help ensure communication efforts are coherent, reflect our values, and positively influence public perception and stakeholder relationships.
Responsibilities
Engage community partners and stakeholders to promote communication goals.
Collaborate with team members on client presentations and public speaking to drive consumer sales.
Support planning and execution of internal and external events.
Conduct research to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Gather information for different projects and coordinate logistics for meetings and communications activities.
Analyze feedback from communications initiatives and recommend improvements.
Participate in brainstorming sessions for new communication strategies.
Assist in maintaining project timelines and budgets when necessary.
Implement supervisor feedback to refine communication approaches.
Required Qualifications
Can commute to the office Monday‑Friday.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer‑service orientation.
Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Creative thinking and problem‑solving skills.
Basic knowledge of public speaking is desirable.
Demonstrated understanding of audience analysis and target messaging.
Willingness to learn new tools and techniques in communication.
Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
Relevant experience in communications, marketing, or a related area, including internships (plus but not required).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
