WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR Bora is looking for an emerging designer to join our growing Experiential Graphic Design team. The ideal candidate has strong typography and graphic design skills, is a strategic thinker, and able to articulate design strategies in 2D and 3D. You will assist in all phases of project design including research and analysis, concept development, design, and implementation across a broad range of project types and mediums.

GRAPHIC DESIGNER 1 Salaried exempt position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of architects, interior designers, contractors, fabricators, artists, and clients.

Research client culture, values, business, and competitive environment to support the development of design strategies and criteria that ensures brand expression is an essential component of each project.

Develop multiple design concepts that integrate messaging, color, imagery, type, and composition to express client stories through various touchpoints, including but not limited to experiential graphics, signage and wayfinding, and brand collateral.

Develop client presentations to sell through design work.

Prepare final artwork files and documentation outlining design intent for fabrication and production.

Travel to client sites to review conditions, installs, and conduct punch lists.

Review shop drawings and submittals for accuracy, ensuring fabrication details match the design intent.

Support the Bora Marketing team in the creation of presentations, new business proposals, social media posts, and other brand collateral while upholding Bora’s visual brand direction throughout all mediums.

Work with Bora Marketing and firm leadership to produce Bora templates, presentations, and internal brand assets.

REQUIREMENTS

2–5 years of experience

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, or similar.

Strong typography, composition, and information design skills, with the ability to visualize ideas in two and three dimensions.

Able to think critically and strategically, while able to articulate and defend design decisions.

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.

Familiarity with architectural plans, sections, and elevations.

Working knowledge of print production and fabrication.

Ability to work in 3D modeling programs such as SketchUp, Rhino, and/or Revit.

Illustration skills a plus.

Uses available resources and effective communication to advance project tasks; able to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Demonstrated initiative and follow-through skills.

Eager to learn, able to receive constructive feedback from multidisciplinary team members.

Agile and adaptable with effective time management and organizational skills. Able to balance multiple, concurrent projects with the assistance of EGD team leadership.
