Overview
Event Technician - Audio Visual role at The Ritz-Carlton Naples. Responsible for the setup and operation of basic/small-scale audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment, ensuring complete customer satisfaction. Reports to an Operations Manager, Operations Director, or Director, Event Technology. Responsibilities
Ensure a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment as listed in the technical qualifications. Provide exceptional customer service by meeting the needs of internal and external customers, communicating effectively, and on-site coordination with guests to ensure equipment is working properly. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and software issues with a basic level of technical ability; handle equipment challenges and changes professionally and promptly. Understand and follow company processes, complete systems entry and paperwork accurately, and interact with staff and outside vendors for equipment. Assist with finalizing invoices and utilize floor up-selling techniques where applicable. Qualifications
High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred. 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred. 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment preferred. Valid driver’s license required for team members who may operate Company vehicles; additional DOT requirements may apply. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Internal applicants must meet training and certification requirements per Encore’s Global Learning Training Program; external applicants must meet and complete all training and certifications within one year. Team members must meet physical demands to perform essential job functions. Reasonable accommodations may be made. Lifting 0-15 lbs continuously; 16-50 lbs frequently; 51-100 lbs occasionally; over 100 lbs occasionally. Auditory/visual requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, hearing. Ability to push/pull workloads corresponding to job duties. Work Environment
Hotel/convention center environment with exposure to varying indoor temperatures and potential outdoor conditions. Work may be in multiple locations with irregular hours, on-call status, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. High-end audiovisual equipment and electrical components, occasional exposure to heights via lifts and ladders. Appearance guidelines apply per Encore/host hotel. Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Pay Range: $16.60 - $20.33. Final compensation based on location, travel, experience, and skills. Some roles may be eligible for overtime, bonuses, or incentives. Benefits options are provided to employees; details available on request. Employment Details
