Overview
Alabama State University, Institutional Advancement, invites applications to fill the Marketing and Communications Coordinator position. The successful candidate will provide brand support and assist with the University's implementation of marketing, public relations, advertising and promotional strategy. This position also supports all CommUniversity efforts, including planning and executing all community outreach initiatives and liaising between the university and community partners. Duties and Responsibilities
Design and develop collateral materials Provide virtual and in-person support for events Maintain a thorough understanding of brand guidelines, product-specific messaging and brand procedures Manage and create written content for internal and external distribution Support the management of key events including university events, fundraisers, etc. Email communications support with content, design and layout Provide social media management support Attend workshops, trainings and other university as needed Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field with 1 year of related experience. Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills, be creative and a self-starter who can multitask well, be detail oriented, be proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint and have a strong commitment to programs and services that address community issues. In-state and out of state travel is required. EEOC Statement
