HFA
is seeking a
Power Systems Engineer
to work on our
Power Systems
team. The ideal candidate will have power systems analysis experience in SKM or similar software, and previous experience in REVIT and AutoCAD is a plus. You will be part of a team that collaborates and coordinates with other professional disciplines within engineering and architecture and will work under a licensed professional engineer in a team environment. The successful candidate will be working with a key client on facilities throughout the US. This is a remote role. Responsibilities
Designer will assist Power Systems Engineer and/or Power Systems Team to perform power systems studies, design, implement, and draft construction documents in support of clients\' maintenance and safety program. Designer should utilize education and experience to independently tackle minor challenges as they arise on projects, with the support and/or direction of the Power Systems Engineer or Power Systems Team lead. Designer should start to apply NEC, NFPA 70E and other national code information for construction documents, with oversight from Power Systems Engineer Power Systems Team Lead. Designer should begin to learn how to perform power systems studies for distribution systems, including short circuit evaluations, protective device coordination, arc flash hazard analysis and incident energy mitigation. Designer will develop skills in AutoCAD and/or REVIT, develop a strong understanding of NEC and other relevant national codes, travel to project job site as necessary (as required by client). Designer will develop skills in SKM Systems Analysis and develop the ability to perform power systems studies and evaluate low voltage systems. Designer will work in a collaborative environment with other Engineers to develop construction documents based on a clients\' requirements Designer will perform quality control of their own work prior to giving to Power Systems Engineer for final review. Depending on needs of client and team, Designer could have direct contact with client on a regular basis. About HFA
